“MoU signed between CSIR-CMERI and Bargachia Cluster of Metal Product Manufacturers, Howrah”

CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) agreed to build cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bargachia Cluster of Metal Product Manufacturers (BCMPM), a cluster of MSMEs situated at Howrah on 04th August, 2023 in presence of senior level Scientists of CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur and representatives from the said Cluster.

The main motivation behind this association is to enhance the productivity of the Cluster and manpower skill through regular technological intervention with CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur. The major thrust areas of collaboration will be Technical Consultancy towards development of Common Facility Centre at BCMPM site, Training and Skill Development programs for knowledge dissemination, Utilization of the facilities available with DSIR-CRTDH-CSIR-CMERI at Durgapur and exchange of information towards recent area of R&D having mutual interest and potential market demand.
