“Occasion of International Womens Day, by Hemophilia Society-Durgapur “
On the occasion, Mrs. Anindita Mukherjee, Hon’ble Mayor, Durgapur Municipal Corporation said that the contribution of women in every sphere of life is immense. They contribute to the lives of their family members as well as the nation .There is no space where women arent working and excelling at what they are doing.
Dr. Dipanwita Sen, Consultant Gynecologists , The Mission Hospital, Durgapur focuses on issues related to women and girls with bleeding disorders, the treatment options. She emphasized & encouraged Carrier detection test and prenatal diagnosis to avoid giving birth to a hemophilic child .
Smt. Monalisha Mukherjee, DGM & Head CSR, ESSAR Oil & Gas, Durgapur lauded women for their achievements & contributions in different fields. Women’s Day is also for all the mothers who have taken care of their children from the very 1st day and also work for their own family . Women deserve equal opportunities at everything like men.
Smt Ananya Dey, SI, Durgapur Women’s PS, said that there cannot be just a day to celebrate a woman. Every day should be a day where we appreciate, respect, and love all the incredible women.
Dr. Anuradha Chatterjee, Specialist in Community medicine , IQ City Hospital ,Durgapur stated that today, women rule almost every field of life and work together with male . They do it all with so much enthusiasm in their own way. Now, women are given equal opportunity at work . Women today have begun realizing their strengths and abilities and are ready to step out of their homes, contributing to the entire society. Giving priority to women is not required but respect, loves are necessary .
This unique program was applauded by all the guests and well-wishers & thanked to all the Womens Group members & volunteers of Hemophilia Society-Durgapur Chapter for their unconditional services towards the hemophilia community Women’s empowerment
It was a great moment of delight ,recreation and joy for the hemophiliacs and their family members after a long long wait.
The audience actively participated through out the program and urged to hold more such awareness & educational programs so that together we can fight against hemophilia.
